Google has finally publicly confirmed a transformation long talked about in the tech world. Sameer Samat, the company’s head of the Android ecosystem, has made the first official statement confirming that Chrome OS and Android will be combined under a single platform.
Sources that previously revealed these plans in a private report in November 2024 have now officially documented the process with Google’s direct statement on the merger. Samat expressed his interest in users’ laptop usage habits.
